Physical Optics and Nuclear Physics Bundle NEW!

Wavelength of Light Apparatus
Use a diffraction grating, a slit, helium and mercury discharge tubes, an incandescent light bulb, and a meter stick mounted on an optical bench to determine the wavelengths of lines in spectra and the colors of visible light.
Half-Life of Barium-137 Apparatus
Use a sample of Strontium-90 to determine the operating voltage for a Geiger-Mueller tube, and then use the GM tube and a scaler-timer to determine the half-life of Barium-137.
